A WALTON charity has received a generous £4k donation.
Warrington Lions Club, who has served the community since 1968, donated the money to Walton Lea Partnership after raising funds through their Christmas Sleigh Appeal.
Walton Lea Partnership provides supported work placements for 74 vulnerable adults and young people with learning difficulties.
The charity will use the money to help to cover the cost of the charity’s new pickup truck.
Club member Tony Gandy handed the cheque to Karen Moore, operations manager of Walton Lea Project, who was accompanied by some of the charity’s supported learners.
A spokesperson for the charity said: “A huge thank you to Tony of the Warrington Lions for their very generous donation of £4000.
“We are so appreciative of all their support.”
