A POPULAR bar within Warrington Market and Cookhouse has revealed it is to leave the site later this month

Artisan Bar Warrington has been described by its customers as the ‘best place in the market’, advertising itself as the ‘go-to place for cocktails, premium wine, artisan spirits, craft beers and more’.

But it has announced on its social media page that it will be relocating from the Time Square location to a venue not named at present.

Its final operating day in the market will be Christmas Eve, and the business has moved to thank customers and the council for their help over the past two years.

In a statement, Artisan Bar Warrington said: “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the relocation of Artisan Bar on December 24.

“We would like to give immense thanks to Warrington Borough Council for all of its support during our time trading in The Cookhouse.

“We have had a wonderful two years here and look forward to new beginnings next year.

“We also want to thank all of our loyal customers and would love to see you all over the coming weeks for some festive drinks. Watch this space.”

The news was met with sadness and well-wishes by customers, with one commenting: “Ah, sorry to hear this. It will be a massive loss to the market and Cookhouse.

“I loved ‘testing’ all your cocktails. Good luck to all the staff.”

Another added: “Oh nooo, best place in the market.”
