ALBERT’S Schloss – the popular destination serving Alpine-inspired dishes and drinks in Manchester – has opened the doors of its new venue in the centre of Liverpool.
The Cook Haus and Bier Palace welcomed customers to the Bold Street establishment for the first time over the weekend with its breakfasts and bratwursts, pretzels and pints, schnapps and schnitzel tempting tastebuds.
The eatery and bar, which has breathed new life into the former food market at Radiant House, is bright and spacious with a perfect Alpine vibe, taking inspiration from German, Austrian and Swiss lodges.
There’s a fire pit as you enter the venue with a range of seating areas from bar stools to restaurant tables to comfy sofas on the mezzanine level.
There’s even a blue and yellow ski lift for a unique dining experience.
The menus are packed with choice whether you’re after a light bite, bar snacks or a sharing platter that feeds four.
Breakfasts are served from 9am until midday every day with The Pancake Haus offering a choice of savoury maple pancakes with maple bacon and eggs or a sweeter alternative with vanilla berries and cream.
There’s also the traditional full cooked breakfast and fresh breads and pastries from the bakery.
The Cook Haus menu has pretzels and starters including honey roast pork belly, Kreuzberg chicken wings and paprika prawns as well as fondues and Bavarian feasts to share.
With burgers and bratwursts available from the grill and Schloss classics like schnitzel or Haus kebabs, there promises to be something to suit all appetites and tastebuds.
For anyone with a sweet tooth, the Black Forest gateau and baked Alaska flambé desserts come highly recommended.
The new site in Liverpool is also home to Haus of Schloss, which is a unique drinking and dining space with room for up to 14 guests – it’s perfect for anyone looking to hire a semi-private space.
Seven days of showtime kicks off on Mondays with Back to Mein followed by Bertie’s Band every Tuesday and the specially curated Kunst Kabaret comes to the stage on Wednesdays.
Baby Grand Slam – two duelling pianists – appear on Thursdays and Friday Frohlich welcomes the weekend each week.
