CHRISTMAS came to Padgate this weekend.
And residents refused to be put off by the rain as Father Christmas came to visit Padgate Community Gardens.
The lights were switched on at the event on Sunday despite pouring rain.
Garden founder John Stubbings is pictured with Santa by Mike Boden.
The run down patch of land was taken over by Padgate resident John Stubbings who wanted to make it look presentable to passers-by.
Since then, John has cared for the Padgate Community Garden, off Padgate Lane, with help from various other volunteers.
