THE dates that Santa's sleigh will be visiting Culcheth in the run-up to Christmas have been announced.
In a festive tradition, Santa's sleigh will be visiting different locations throughout Warrington in the lead-up to the big day.
A volunteer group running the service will also be posting a live GPS tracking link on the evenings that the sleigh is travelling, which will help residents determine when they can see the man himself.
In total, the sleigh will be around Culcheth over six nights in December, giving everyone ample opportunity to get some photographs and meet the big man.
It is being advised that the sleigh will be in the area between 6pm and 8.30pm.
The nights that Father Christmas will be visiting Culcheth with his sleigh are:
- Friday, December 9 - Church Lane, Walton Road, Shaw Street Car Park
- Monday, December 12 - Thompson Ave, Glebeland/Lansdowne and all roads and Avenues off Hampson Avenue and Newchurch Lane
- Wednesday, December 14 - Wigshaw Lane and roads off Hob Hey Lane, Clifton Avenue and roads off of these
- Thursday, December 15 - Twiss Green Lane, Newchurch Hospital Estate, Birchall Avenue and Crawley Avenue
- Friday, December 16 - Lodge Drive, Ellesmere Road, Chiltern Avenue, Sutton Avenue and roads off of this estate
- Monday, December 19 - Mee Brow and Fowley Common
The volunteer group that helps to bring Santa and his sleigh at Christmas is urging people to step forward and volunteer.
Organisers say that at least six more volunteers are needed, at the time of writing - if anyone would like to volunteer to help, you can contact Alan Litton at 07505 561054.
Santa Claus and his sleigh will be visiting Culcheth from Friday, December 9, to Monday, December 19.
A live GPS tracking link will be posted each night by the volunteers, which will be available on the 'Culcheth Memories and Chat' Facebook group.
Santa will be visiting various areas across Warrington this Christmas, a full list of locations in the north of the town can be found here.
