WARRINGTON is among the highest-spending areas on hair and beauty this Christmas, new data shows.
According to a survey of 2,000 across the country, Warrington ranks in the top five areas for spending on hair and beauty at Christmas.
On average, residents are planning to spend around £80 on hair and beauty appointments this festive season in the town.
This places residents of the town at fifth-highest in terms of festive beauty spending - being beaten only by Lisburn, Belfast, London, and Leicester.
Overall, people across the UK are anticipated to budget around £60 per person for hair and beauty appointments in the run-up to Christmas.
Warrington residents specifically are budgeting an average of £79.70 for treatments over the festive period - over £20 more than the national average of £58.80.
The data revealed that across the UK, people were expecting to spend a total of £3.1billion on Christmas 'glow ups.'
Despite the cost-of-living rising, overall, Brits have no intention of cutting down on their beauty routine in the build-up to Christmas, with almost half - 44 per cent - planning to spend the same amount as last year.
A further quarter is expecting to spend more than last Christmas.
Getting booked in for treatments early is a common theme, with one-third booking their Christmas treatments in October, while one-in-ten people were already booked for a festive appointment by September.
Samantha Shamplina-Burkwood , marketing manager at Capital Hair and Beauty said: “It’s great to see that as we approach the Christmas season, we’re still prioritising looking and feeling our best and booking in with our favourite hair and beauty professionals.
"We found that a large number of Brits are getting their appointments booked early this year, however, for those of us that like to leave it to the last minute it’s important to remember to be flexible with the times and days we ask at our salons for to increase the chances of us getting booked in before Christmas or any festive events we’re heading to this year."
