A CHRISTMAS choir is returning to Warrington's Parr Hall this year, after a two-year absence.
Gemini Musical Theatre Company is helping everyone to get into the festive spirit with their Christmas carol concert.
The concert will take place on Sunday, December 18, from 7.30pm.
Included in the concert will be old favourites, traditional carols, and even a selection of songs from musicals that 'everyone will have hummed along to.'
The musical theatre group performed their Christmas concert in a number of different venues last year, but they say they are thrilled to be heading back to Warrington's historic venue.
Danny Shaw is the chair of Gemini Musical Theatre Company, and he said: "This year is very special.
"We have all been looking forward to performing for so long back at the Parr Hall and are working very hard to ensure we can give our audience an evening they won’t forget.
"We have all missed performing in the Parr Hall and it is a central part of our annual programme.
"We want to make everyone smile and it’s a fabulous way to start the festive period.”
The group's musical director, Steve Rayner, is responsible for the high quality of the show and has pulled the event together in time for Christmas.
Steve said: "This year, we have put together a programme of traditional festive music, some old favourites and a number of extremely popular and challenging pieces such as ‘Candlelight Carol’, ‘Coventry Carol’, ‘Mary had a Baby’ and ‘Hallelujah Chorus’.
"We want to provide something for everyone’s tastes so will be performing a selection of songs from ‘My Fair Lady’ and some well-known pieces everyone will have hummed along to."
Gemini Musical Theatre Company's Christmas concert will be on Sunday, December 18, from 7.30pm at Warrington's Parr Hall.
Tickets can be bought online on Culture Warrington's website, or through the ticket telephone number at 01925 601773.
