RESIDENTS in two Warrington villages have been warned by police following suspicious activity last night, Thursday.
Cheshire Police says it has received reports of a suspect trying door handles of vehicles in Burtonwood, as well as of shed break-ins in Lymm.
Officers have issued residents with a warning to ensure all doors are locked to prevent them from being targeted by thieves.
The force’s Burtonwood and Winwick Police team said: “I have been made aware of someone in the Burtonwood area trying car doors last night.
“If you see this happening, please report it via 101.
“Now more than ever, please carry out the 9pm routine and check all cars and sheds are locked. That two-minute check could stop you from being a victim of crime.”
An officer from the Lymm Police team added: “PCSO Redshaw has attended a few locations across Lymm where outside sheds have unfortunately been broken into.
“Remember that if you think anything is suspicious to let us know.”
