THESE photos show a behind the scenes look at Warrington’s newest hotel, bring a luxury touch to the town centre.
The Old Post Office, run by Deuce Hotels, is a boutique aparthotel located in the Cultural Quarter.
Offering views across Palmyra Square and Queens Gardens, its owners say it is the ideal home away from home, for business and leisure.
The Grade II-listed building, formerly the post office on Springfield Street, has been brought back to life with a luxurious high-end finish, and each bespoke apartment features its own kitchenette.
Each room also has a ‘super comfy’ bed, 50” flat screen smart TV, high-speed WiFi throughout, invigorating waterfall showers and The White Company luxury toiletries as standard.
Zach Hardman, head of hotel operations for Deuce Hotels, said: “We genuinely believe that The Old Post Office brings something new and exciting to the local market.
“A high-quality finish with luxury furnishings, the latest technology, the flexibility of the kitchenette in every apartment and the amazing location right in the heart of this vibrant town centre.
“Whether you are looking for an overnight stay or longer-term agreement up to 90 days, we have something to suit every need.”
Established this year, independent operator Deuce Hotels is looking to ‘take the hotel market by storm’, running high-quality accommodation inside characterful buildings.
The firm says The Old Post Office is its ‘flagship property’, with further openings in Harrogate earmarked for 2023, as well as the former Warrington Collegiate Art School on Museum Street.
It chose the Springfield Street site due to its close proximity to Parr Hall and Warrington Museum, as well as to Time Square and Warrington Bank Quay station.
Priestley Construction undertook the extensive £3.2million renovation project on behalf of Deuce Hotels and partners Danny Inman and Nathan Priestley.
Many of the listed building’s original features have been meticulously refurbished and retained, with contrasting modern tech including guests being able to enter using just their smartphones.
Local subcontractors were used throughout the construction phase, with the hotel initially creating six new jobs for local people, which is expected to grow as the business does over time.
Nathan said: “Warrington is undergoing significant regeneration, driven by an ambitious, forward-thinking council.
“Design on this brand-new aparthotel meets the highest specification, while retaining a part of the local heritage.
“We are creating some of the most desirable hotel rooms the town has to offer.”
Danny added: “Renovating existing buildings is an ideal way to improve the quantity and quality of accommodation in the area.
“It positions Warrington as a desirable alternative to larger, surrounding cities.
“The town is fast becoming one of the north west’s most desirable places to live, work and visit.”
