A WARRINGTON social care worker may bag her second prestigious award this year in recognition of her ‘excellent’ leadership and support shown for Bewsey charity Making Space.

Rachel Munn, a manager of six teams within the wellbeing services area of the charity, has been shortlisted for the Outstanding Partner award at the Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards.

The successful leader began her journey at Allan Street headquartered Making Space back in 2009 as a computerised cognitive behavioural therapy coordinator, and she has worked her way up to overseeing up to 16 staff members.

Rachel’s nomination to the category of Outstanding Partner recognises ‘exceptional women’ and their ‘dedication’ to providing the best quality of service to the health sector. 

She said: “I feel very privileged to be shortlisted for this award and to be able to do the role that I do.

“The services I manage are there for people during some of the hardest periods of their lives and the difference that these services make to people day in day out is nothing short of extraordinary.

“I would not be up for this award without my incredible team behind me who genuinely do put the people they support at the heart of what they do.”

The awards ceremony will take place in London in November and will be a star-studded event.
