FATHER Christmas will be heading to Birchwood Forest Park this weekend.
The cafe - run by Friends of Birchwood Forest Park - in the park is set to host the 'big man' when he visits at the weekend along with his cheeky elves.
Friends of Birchwood Forest Park are promising that the two-day event will be fun for the whole family, with a range of activities taking place.
Father Christmas will be at his grotto near the cafe on Saturday, December 3, and Sunday, December 4, between 11am and 2pm.
Tickets to see Santa will be available on the day, and are entirely free.
There will also be a festive post box on the site so that any children can post their Christmas lists to Father Christmas at the North Pole.
At the weekend there will also be homemade cakes available, as well as festive singing from members of the community.
On Sunday, December 4, there will be a performance from the Teenie Preschool Choir at 11.30am.
And no community Christmas event would be complete without a raffle.
Raffle tickets will be sold over the course of the weekend's activities, with two winning tickets being drawn on Sunday - the winners will receive a voucher for a meal for four at the Peacock pub near Birchwood Shopping Centre.
Friends of Birchwoood Forest Park said: "Come along and join in all the festive fun."
Birchwood Forest Park cafe is run entirely by volunteers and is open on Saturdays and Sundays - for more information on the cafe, visit the Friends of Birchwood Forest Park's social media pages.
