AN arson investigation has been launched by police following a car fire in Orford.
One fire engine from Warrington Fire Station was dispatched to Cotswold Road at 9.17pm yesterday evening, Monday.
Firefighters were called to a small vehicle fire, and after gaining access to the vehicle, they discovered there was a smouldering fire on the driver’s seat.
Crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Police were informed.”
