A BARROWHALL Primary student has decided to complete a sit up challenge throughout the month of November to raise money for Warrington’s Youth Zone.
Two years ago, Lennie White, 9, was inspired to fundraise and gather food donations following Marcus Rashford’s campaign for free school meals.
In 2021, following a loss to someone their family knew, Lennie decided to raise money for Mind. After running 100km in 30 days, he raised £1249 to donate to the mental health charity.
This year, however, Lennie is donating to the Warrington Youth Zone.
To fundraise Lennie is completing 900 sit ups in only 21 days, after the original planned 30 days had to be changed. As well as this he is also making Christmas reindeer food and hot chocolate to sell to put towards his fund.
So far, the boy from Great Sankey has fundraised over £1,000 and donations can be made here.
He has also received help from his football team Matthiola JFC, who have placed food donation boxes outside of training this week.
