IT'S December tomorrow and that means the countdown to Christmas is on - and the Elf on the Shelf will be making an appearance in homes around Warrington.

The mischievous elves capture the imagination of children each December as they create all kinds of madness and mayhem during the night.

Santa sends the elves from the North Pole to keep an eye on children in the lead up to Christmas so he knows who to put on the naughty list and who needs to go on the nice list.

With 24 ideas to come up with every December, it can be hard to find new and imaginative tricks for the elves every night so we asked you, our readers, to share your photos from last Christmas to give a little bit of inspiration.

Here is a selection of your successful Elf on the Shelf ideas from last year.

If you'd like to share your own elf photos, please use the link at the bottom of the page.

Whether they’re zip wiring from the living room ceiling, throwing toilet rolls over the bathroom or eating the advent calendar chocolates in the kitchen, we want to see what they’ve been up to.
