POLICE in an area of Warrington have urged residents to keep their wits about them following suspicious reports.
Officers in Westbrook say reports have been made to Cheshire Police regarding rogue traders.
They say that reports include people asking to clear driveways and paths, going door-to-door.
Residents are encouraged to report anything suspicious to police and to follow advice issued by trading standards
The force’s Westbrook Police team said: “We have had a report of people going door-to-door asking if they would they like driveways and pathways cleaning.
“We are asking people to be wary of such traders and to follow the advice from trading standards on its website.
“Please keep an eye on any vulnerable neighbours and ring 101 if you suspect anything suspicious.”
