RESIDENTS on four Warrington streets have been hit with a power cut this morning, Thursday.
The outage is affecting homes on Knight Road, Perrins Road and surrounding streets in Burtonwood.
According to an incident report on the website of power supplier Scottish Power, the postcodes impacted are WA54JX, WA54LH, WA54PY and WA54QQ.
In an update, it is said that power is looking to be restored by 6pm this evening.
A spokesman for Scottish Power said: “There is a power cut in the WA5 postcode area of Burtonwood, affecting properties in Knight Road, Perrins Road, and surrounding streets.
“Restoration is taking longer than expected because of a fault on the underground cable network, and our team is now working to get your electricity supply back on as quickly and as safely as possible, via generator, in stages, with all supplies restored by 6pm.
“If this information changes we will update you where possible. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
