AN arson investigation has been launched by police following a fire in Callands.
One fire engine from Warrington Fire Station was dispatched to Tenby Close yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, at around 5pm.
This came after firefighters received reports of a car on fire.
On arrival at the scene, the crew discovered that the car was ‘well alight’, and they used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
Following the incident, a spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters attended a vehicle fire in Warrington that is believed to have been started deliberately.
“Cheshire Police were also in attendance.”
