A STAR Wars actor will be coming to the Golden Square to open its latest collectibles store.
Funky Figures will be opening in Warrington's shopping centre this weekend.
Having already opened stores in Bury and Wigan, the pop culture store is hoping to launch with a bang before Christmas.
The business has thousands of followers on social media, and they are launching in Warrington with a special event on Saturday, November 26.
Darth Vader actor Spencer Wilding will be in attendance of the event - he portrayed the masked villain in the 2016 film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Alongside the villainous Vader actor will be robotic reinforcements, fans of the Star Wars saga will recognise the Imperial droid R2-99 in the Golden Square, too.
The launch will also be attended by a mass of Imperial Stormtroopers, who are part of the charity fundraising group 'The Fifth Legion' - the group tours the country for free, offering their services to various events and charities.
So far, the costumed fundraisers have helped to raise £50,000 for good causes since February 2018.
Funky Figures specialises in pop culture items from films, television, comic books, and more - including popular collector's items such as 'Funko Pop' figures.
The new store will open on Saturday, November 26, and is taking over from Grainger Games, which was housed in the Golden Square for a number of years, until it closed down recently.
Reviewers of the Wigan and Bury stores have said it is the 'perfect place' for collectors, and the owner is incredibly helpful.
One review online says: "You could not ask for better service, always friendly and very helpful.
"The store itself is amazing with lots of variety and great merchandise to choose from."
Another added: "Excellent service and very friendly.
"Heaps of Pokemon collectables, Funko, and other branded figures. Pokemon trade/evaluations too with up-to-date sets and special collections."
Funky Figures launches in the Golden Square on Saturday, November 26, and will be visited by Darth Vader actor Spencer Wilding, plus droids and Stormtroopers from the Star Wars saga.
