POLICE and paramedics were called to the scene of a crash on a busy road through Warrington this afternoon, Monday.
Two police cars and an ambulance were dispatched to Winwick Road close to junction nine of the M62 shortly before 1pm.
Two cars were involved in the accident, although thankfully it is not believed that any serious injuries were sustained.
A person was checked over by the ambulance crew at the scene, with motorists urged to take extra care in the extremely wet weather.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “Officers were called to Winwick Road after receiving reports of a road traffic collision at 12.56pm today, Monday, November 21.
“The collision involved a white Mini Cooper and a blue Toyota Yaris.
“The were no reports of any serious injuries, however a person was checked over in the back of an ambulance.”
