A YOUTH was ordered to leave Warrington town centre and not return over the weekend.
It comes as Cheshire Police is stepping up its patrols in the area as we enter the festive season.
Officers say they are committed to tackling anti-social behaviour, and that any criminality will not be tolerated this Christmas.
One particular area which is receiving attention is Warrington Bus Station, which is known to be a target for anti-social behaviour.
In an update, the force’s Warrington Police team said: “Following reports of anti-social behaviour in and around the bus station, high-visibility patrols have been increased.
“One youth has been issued with a dispersal order following a report of anti-social behaviour that requires him to leave the town centre, and he cannot return for 48 hours.
“Increased patrols will continue in the run-up to Christmas and throughout the festive period.
“Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated in Warrington town centre.”
