A CHILD was taken to hospital after being hit by a car at a busy roundabout this afternoon, Friday.
Emergency services were called to Sankey Way at Pink Eye roundabout shortly before 4pm after receiving reports of the collision involving an 11-year-old girl on a scooter and a car.
It is not believed that the girl suffered any serious injuries during the incident, however she has been taken to hospital for checks.
At least three police vehicles were in attendance at the scene, as was an ambulance. Police have confirmed that no action is to be taken against the car driver.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 3.53pm, officers were called to reports of a collision on Sankey Way.
“The collision involved a car and an 11-year-old girl crossing the road on a scooter.
“It is believed that the girl did not sustain any serious injuries, however she was taken to hospital by her family as a precautionary measure.
“No action is to be taken against the driver of the car.”
