A POPULAR football screening venue is on the market in Warrington.
Set within the heart of the town centre, Postern Gate was listed for sale last month.
The St Austins Lane venue was constructed in the 1980s and was designed to look like an oast house.
It offers a large beer terrace, a ‘money generating’ car park for the general public and a two-bed living accommodation.
The large beer terrace, which doubles as an outdoor screening area, has been a popular spot for many people to watch sports games over the years – shown by the long queues formed by those wanting to watch the men’s Euros final in July 2021.
The venue is listed as being sold on a free-of-tie lease meaning owners will be able to buy their beer from wherever they choose - unlike pubs and bars that are linked with specific breweries.
It is also up for price on application.
This means potential buyers will need to contact estate agents directly in order to discover the price of the property.
