PLANS have been submitted to build a new futuristic home in Lymm.
The scheme will see the existing 1900s 'dilapidated' red brick house at the bottom of Pepper Street in the village replaced by an impressive detached property.
Consent to extend the house was previously approved in 2020 but the owners of the land have now submitted far grander plans.
In documents submitted to Warrington Borough Council, it states that the new scheme would fit onto the existing footprint of the house currently on the land.
It adds: "This has enabled a far more attractive and practical dwelling to be designed which will also help to improve the area.
"The new house will be comparable in size to that which would have resulted from the modified property, but will be modern and more thermally efficient using high quality materials.
"The impact upon the wider area is a significant improvement in design terms and the impact other residential properties in the area is very limited. Whereas an extended house would provide more living space, it would not address the fundamental design compromises of the older property. Replacement with a new thermally efficient well-designed house would provide a much more environmentally friendly and attractive statement."
