A WARRINGTON venue received a 0-star food hygiene rating earlier this year – making it the lowest-ranking site across Warrington in 2022.

The rating, listed on the Food Standards Agency website, means that ‘urgent improvement is necessary at Pit Stop on Widnes Road, Cuerdley – which is a mobile caterer.

Inspections carried by Warrington Borough Council’s hygiene teams also reveal that a number of venues have received a one-star food hygiene rating this year.

Andrew’s Fish Game and Poultry, based at Warrington Market, received one star as did The Farmers Arms in Fearnhead, G&Gs Café in Bewsey, Heaths 26 in Stockton Heath, Kurdistan Supermarket in Orford, Monpura in Stockton Heath, Top Chef in Orford and Vranceanul in Orford.

At the other end of the scale, plenty of venues in Warrington received top marks from the Food Standards Agency in 2022.

This means they received the highest results in cleanliness and food preparation.
