AN unauthorised encampment of travellers has been established at a community centre in Fearnhead.
According to Cheshire West and Chester county council, a group of seven caravans arrived at the site off Orange Grove on Tuesday, November 15.
The group has set up an unauthorised encampment at Hawthorn Community Centre.
According to the county council's website, an officer is due to attend the site 'as soon as possible.'
The land in question is owned by the council.
It is reported that the group arrived after 3pm on Tuesday, November 15.
Members of the group were seen pitching up caravans and socialising today, November 16.
A number of other encampments have been established recently in Warrington, including in Birchwood, Risley and Orford.
One large encampment of seven caravans left a site off Ordnance Avenue, in Birchwood Forest Park, on Tuesday, November 15, after almost three weeks on the site.
A small group of caravans remain on Silver Lane, Risley, meanwhile, another encampment of three caravans and associated vehicles has recently vacated land at Orford Jubilee Hub.
