This was the fourth Northern Enterprise Awards ceremony to take place.
Alertacall provides an updated system for supported housing that replaces the 'warden call' system.
The updated system is designed to allow people to remain in their own homes and live independently for as long as possible.
It was created by the company's CEO, and he was inspired by his own grandmother, who - after losing two husbands - decided to travel the world on her own, as a 'fiercely independent' woman.
Alertacall's CEO, James Batchelor, said: "It’s an honour for Alertacall to have been recognised by the Northern Enterprise awards.
“We work tirelessly to create a housing management solution that helps independent older people, people fleeing domestic violence and people who are disabled feel safe, connected, and better informed."
This year we celebrated a major milestone moment 🥳 as the value of the services we've gifted to older people around the UK tops £2 million. 📈

James added: “As well as improving contact between housing providers and residents we constantly look to adapt and evolve to meet the ever-changing needs of the housing sector.”
The awards body took into consideration how Alertacall has positioned itself as a unique service provider, combining innovative technology with friendly human contact in order to create a housing management service that benefits both housing providers and residents.
Alertacall works with authorities across the country in order to ensure that people can live in their own homes independently, while also feeling safe and secure.
Today’s the day!

The business was founded in 2004 after James was inspired by his grandmother, Eveline, who learnt how to drive in her 50s and was determined to live life to the full.
Alertacall has offices on Winwick Street in Warrington town centre, and can also be found operating from Windermere, in Cumbria.
