A POLICE officer was taken to hospital after being involved a crash after being called to an emergency.
A police car was in a collision with an Audi in Newton-le-Willows on Monday evening, November 14.
The officer driving the car, which was responding to an incident, suffered a minor injury to his head in the crash and was taken to hospital.
The collision took place on Victoria Road, near the junction with Winston Avenue.
A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "At around 6.15pm yesterday (Monday, November 14) officers were called to a report of a collision on Victoria Road involving a police car and a silver Audi A1.
"The officer driving the police vehicle suffered a minor injury to his head and was taken to hospital.
"The driver of the Audi remained at the scene."
