A MUCH-loved café has announced to its gutted customers that it has now closed its doors permanently.

Hole in the Wall Café in Howley served paninis, sweet treats, build-your-own sandwiches, as well as hot and cold drinks.

But as of today, Tuesday, it has announced due to issues regarding rent at its Holmsfield Road location that it is closing.

However, the owner says she is looking forward to a ‘bigger and better’ venture in the future.

In a statement, café owner Kat said: “unfortunately, we have some very sad news. Hole in the Wall Café will be closed for good from today, Tuesday, going forward.

“We are really disappointed in this outcome as we know our local community have been enjoying our small takeaway café just as much as we have enjoyed making wholesome food and coffee for our wonderful customers.

Warrington Guardian:

“I want to say a massive thank you to my mum and dad for helping me every step of the way and just being the best. I truly could not have achieved it all without them.

“And a massive thank you to all the customers who made it thrive in a way I really was not expecting.

“Big love to you all, this only means onwards and upwards for my next venture.

“Please keep your eyes peeled as we will hopefully be back, bigger and better.”

The news was met with sadness from customers, with one saying: “I am absolutely gutted. This is a travesty. I am so, so sorry to hear this.”

Another commented: “This is such sad news. You had created a lovely little spot for our favourite walk. Tough times for any business, wishing you the best of luck for the future.”
