FLORAL creations have been popping up in Woolston this weekend to celebrate the community.

La Beau fleurs, who are based on Manchester Road in Woolston, have installed three floral design and a wreath at the heart of the Woolston community.

Owner Rachel Peers and her team felt compelled to use their skills to pay their respects to those that had made the ultimate sacrifice and to stand with their community in remembering those who have lost their lives to conflict.

She said: “We are used to creating installations up and down the country for weddings and events so to do something on our doorstep was a real treat. We’ve had so many people popping in to say thank you and to share their stories, it's been really inspiring and very moving.

"I’ve lived in Woolston for most of my life and have a real affinity with its community, it was a dream come true to open up my first shop here a year ago and the fact that it gives us the opportunity to contribute in this way is the icing on the cake."

Rachel and her team specialise in bespoke wedding and funeral flowers along with celebration and gift florals. They are open Tuesday to Saturday 9am and 5pm and on a Sunday and Monday by appointment.
