A MAN was arrested by police after reportedly being found in possession of a knife yesterday evening, Friday.
Cheshire Police says it was called to Chapelford after receiving reports of a domestic incident.
The suspect is said to have fled the scene and to have given a fake name to police after being located.
However, this did not deceive police, who reportedly found the blade on him prior to his arrest.
The force’s Warrington Police team said: “Officers attended an address in Chapelford due to reports of a domestic, where the suspect had made off before police could arrive.
“After a detailed area search, a male matching the description was located. This male tried to deceive officers and gave false details, however he did not manage to fool officers.
“The male was arrested on suspicion of domestic-related offences and obstructing a constable.
“When he was searched, he was further arrested when officers found a locking knife hidden on his person.”
