ON the back of being voted ‘Warrington’s best chippy’ a fish and chip shop in Latchford has been honoured nationally.
Located on Thelwall Lane, Fish Net won the Best Fish and Chips Award 2022 in the Warrington Guardian’s ‘Best of’ competition ater being praised by readers.
It has now however added to its prestige by scooping a coveted Good Food Awards 2023 blue ribbon in the fish and chips category.
The business was established four years ago by father and son owners Sava and Michael Mylona, and it has recently undergone a revamp inside and out.
A spokesman for the Good Food Awards said: “Founded on independence and integrity, we have been delighting our readers and fans since 2002.
“Our unique awards recognise those who strive for culinary excellence within their field.
“Chosen for their food quality, service and value, our Good Food Awards are bestowed upon those with high customer ratings or votes and are known as the blue ribbon for delicious dishes.
“Some premises will appear in our awards regularly. They must earn their place by maintaining the same high standards that gained them initial entry.”
Speaking after winning the Warrington Guardian’s Best of award, Savva said: “We are delighted to win this awar,d as it tells us that we must be doing something right, especially in the current climate with prices rising so quickly.
“We know we serve the best quality food – it may not be the cheapest, but we know it is the best we can provide for our customers.
“We are so grateful to our loyal customers who have voted for us to win this award and we could not do it without them.”
He added: “We are beyond delighted as it is in recognition of the hard work we have put into making our business a thriving success over the past four years.”
