GAS mains works will take place in Lower Walton later this month.
For two weeks from Monday, November 28, Silverdale Road will be closed from its junction with Gainsborough Road to its junction with Elgin Avenue.
Access will be under the control of the relevant contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative route will be via Gainsborough Road, Chester Road, Meadow Avenue and vice versa or via Gainsborough Road, Irwell Road, Copeland Road and vice versa.
The closure is required to allow Cadent Gas to carry out gas mains replacement works.
The road will be close as and when it is signposted.
