IT may be mid-November but the countdown to Christmas in Warrington is already well under way.
And there is plenty going on across the town for you to get into the festive spirit.

Saturday, November 19
A CHRISTMAS fair takes place in Penketh.
Held at the Oaks Centre on Stocks Lane, on Saturday, November 19 between 10am and 2pm, etntrance is free.
There will be Christmas stalls, hot food, children's activities, tombola and lots more.
ST Margaret's in Orford is holding a Christmas fair in the school hall on Saturday, November 19.
There will be lots of stalls as well as a Santa's grotto plus refreshments.
It takes place from 10am until 12pm, with admission 20p for adults and free for children.
HEAD to St Mary's Church in Great Sankey next weekend for a Christmas fair.
St Mary's Church will be open from noon until 4pm on Saturday, November 19 and Mother Christmas will be there.
There will be a fantastic range of stalls including adult and children’s tombola, a raffle for an amazing luxury Christmas hamper, stalls selling Christmas crafts, cards, goodies and gifts.
There will be a great range of refreshments including hot turkey barms, tea, coffee, soft drinks, snacks and for the grown ups alcoholic and non alcoholic mulled wine.
ST Barnabas Church hosts its Christmas Fair on Saturday, November 19 in the church based on Lovely Lane.
It will run from 12pm until 3pm and there will be a good variety of stalls including Tombola, Christmas gifts, cakes and jams, nearly new toy stall, jewellery, poke a pot and of course Santa will be in his grotto and there will refreshments to warm visitors up.
Everyone is welcome.
November 24 to December 24
Luminate Winter Light Trail is arriving at Walton Hall and Gardens on November 24 and will run until December 24.
The entire trail has been re-designed for 2022, retaining some of last year’s lights but reimagined to include new highlights.
As darkness descends, visitors can experience the captivating trail through the stunning grounds of the gardens.
Saturday, November 26
Culcheth Christmas lights and carol singing takes place on Saturday, November 26.
The carol singing event, as well as the switching on of the village Christmas lights, are still set to take place on Saturday, November 26.
As well as this, there are events set to take place in Newchurch Parish Hall, the Methodist Hall and the scout hut and centre on Jackson Avenue.
ENJOY a bit of Christmas in Woolston.
The Church of Ascension Christmas mini market will be held in the Mission on Warren Lane on Saturday, November 26 between 1pm and 3pm.
Various stalls will be on show consisting of Body Shop, tombola, Christmas stall, cake stall, craft stall, bottle stall and pin the nose on Rudolf.
The will also be a Grand raffle. Refreshments available.
CHRISTMAS in Warrington town centre is all set to launch in a carnival of festive fun over the weekend of Saturday November 26 and Sunday November 27.
So set the weekend aside because Santa Claus is coming to town like never before.
There’s something for everyone on both days including Christmas artisan markets throughout the main central streets, choir performances, fairground rides, light projections, the return of the At No.25 Christmas installation and even a team of Brazilian drummers who will lead the Lantern Parade.
Everyone is invited and most activities are free including a lantern making workshop followed by the Lantern Parade. With lanterns lit and held aloft, the Parade will march across to the Town Hall on Saturday 26 where at 6pm the Town Hall will be illuminated in what promises to be an unmissable light projection extravaganza from the acclaimed Double Take Projections Company.
Supplementing Warrington’s already fantastic offering of shops, restaurants, cafés and bars. Independent Street will champion local independent businesses by bringing the Artisan Market across the four traditional high streets of Warrington Town Centre, Sankey Street, Horsemarket Street, Buttermarket Street and Bridge Street which will be filled with a festive array of 60 carefully selected artisan stalls.
December 3 to 23
The Hayloft Santa Experience, Great Sankey
A secret and immersive adventure through the enchanted forest and into a magical world of storytelling. Join the elves for some fun in their enchanting workshop, including making magical reindeer food ready to sprinkle on your lawn on Christmas Eve. Make a special Christmas wish before continuing the journey to Santa on the miniature railway.
Enter the magical grotto to enjoy a story from Santa himself and receive a gift for each child.

Saturday, December 3
HEAD to the cobbles of Grappenhall. Grappenhall Christmas Fair takes place on Saturday, December 3 from 1pm. There will be Father Christmas and his elves followed by tree lighting and carols from 5pm. Stalls include Christmas gifts, there are free children's crafts and hog roast and mulled wine. Admission is £2.50 for adults and children go free.
Saturday, December 10
Lymm Dickensian will be held on Saturday, December 10 with celebrations across the village between 11am and 5pm.
A Santa Dash starts at 1.30pm with 250 runners painting the village red and white.
This will be followed by the ever popular Grand Parade which will head through the centre of Lymm.
