CULCHETH Parish Council has announced that its Christmas market event this year has been cancelled.
The much-anticipated event was due to take place at the end of the month.
Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council announced the event would be going ahead in October, but it has since rowed back on this.

In an email sent to the Warrington Guardian, the parish council said: "Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council are very sorry to be the bearers of bad news at this late stage, but due to circumstances way beyond our control, we find that we have to cancel the Culcheth Christmas Market."
However, the council did say that there will still be some form of Christmas event taking place in the village.
Part of the day's events - on Saturday, November 26 - included the now-cancelled markets, but other plans will go ahead.
The carol singing event, as well as the switching on of the village Christmas lights, are still set to take place on Saturday, November 26.
As well as this, there are still events set to take place in Newchurch Parish Hall, the Methodist Hall and the scout hut and centre on Jackson Avenue.
The markets were set to run from 11 o'clock on the morning of November 26, and end at 5pm.
Culcheth Christmas lights will be switched on on Saturday, November 26, at approximately 4:15pm from Culcheth's Millennium Garden - on the junction between Common Lane and Warrington Road.
