FIREFIGHTERS rescued a bird tangled in brambles in Woolston yesterday, Tuesday.
Crews attended the scene on Weir Lane where the bird was stuck near the river.
Vehicles from Warrington, Lymm, Birchwood, and Penketh attended and two swift water rescue technicians used a tethered raft to reach the animal.
They then handed the bird over to the care of an RSPCA officer.
