A MUM has warned shoppers in Birchwood of three men who followed her and her children through a supermarket.
The incident took place at ASDA in Birchwood Shopping Centre, on Sunday, October 30.
According to a post on social media, the woman says that the three men were 'eyeing up [her] kids.'
The woman - who shall remain nameless - issued a warning to 'any parents doing the shopping with the kids' following the incident.
In a report posted online, the woman said that three Eastern European men were using Bluetooth earpieces, with two of the men sticking together with the third staying apart from the others.
She said: "At first I just found it a little weird, until [one of the men] was appearing everywhere.
"Each time I looked at him, he would turn his back, pretending to look at the shelves.
"I decided to move on to the freezers, and walking down there were the other two men."
The mum later added: "My family came up the aisle and I ran over to tell them it was clear these men knew I was on to them.
"By the time security was informed all that was left inside Asda [by the men] was a trolley with a couple of freezer bits in.
"I had waited on the other side of the tills and they did not come through - if they were innocent, why leave without their shopping?"
As the mum said, security was informed of the incident - which was confirmed by Asda's press office.
Cheshire Police were also contacted about the worrying incident.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Constabulary said: "At 3pm Monday, October 31, police received an online report in relation to suspicious activity at Birchwood Shopping centre.
"The contact reported that a female customer had reported that she was followed around a supermarket by three unknown men.
"The incident is reported to have occurred at around 12:30pm on Sunday, October 30.
"Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police at www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us quoting CRN-2074320."
