Two arrested after police called to Home Bargains in Newton-le-Willows
TWO people were arrested after police were called to Home Bargains in Newton-le-Willows.
At around 1.45pm, on Thursday, November 3, officers attended the store on Haydock Street to reports of a man inside the shop smelling of cannabis.
The man was detained and searched and found to have suspected drugs and cash.
A woman was detained nearby and suspected illegal fireworks were found in a vehicle.
Both have been taken to a police station for questioning as enquiries continue.
