A MAJOR road in Penketh – and many of the streets surrounding – will close in the evenings lfor the next six weeks.
Carriageway resurfacing will take place on the A562 Warrington Road for six weeks until at least December 10.
Work will take place between 7pm and 1am, when signs are in place and started on Monday.
The road will close from its junction with Greystone Road in an east bound direction only and from Warrington Road for 50 metres along the following lengths of road, Birkdale Road; Coronation Drive; The Grove; Heath Road and Sandy Lane.
Access will be under the control of the relevant contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Farnworth Road, Stocks Lane and A57 Liverpool Road.
