CHARLIE Berry came out on top in a regional gymnastics competition.

The Warrington Gymnastics Club competitor was crowned North West FIG Aspire Champion at the NW Voluntary Age Group competition held at the City of Manchester Institute of Gymnastics.

Charlie put in a solid and polished performance, securing silver on vault and bronze on floor and bars.

Meanwhile, clubmates took part in the Zinc North West competition held at Robin Park.

In the aged eight section, Libby Fraser took gold on beam and was placed seventh overall with teammate Florence Knowles taking the bronze on floor.

The North West gold on floor went to Sophia Stevenson. Chloe Payton and Isabelle Wright also competed well within the new competition structure.

In the aged nine competition Olivia Wiggans secured gold on vault and bronze on floor within Cheshire and Merseyside, placing fourth overall in the county competition.

Summer Harris took silver on floor and placed fifth within Cheshire and Merseyside, with teammate Lydia Ecclestone and Nevaeh Walbrooke finishing ninth and 10th.

Sienna Brown collected the NW bronze on vault. Scarlett Allison and Poppy Corless performed well, showcasing new skills among a large field.

Anna Hives competed in the Zinc aged 10 section where she secured gold on floor and was placed 12th overall in the North West and fourth in Cheshire and Merseyside.

Heidi Smith led the way in the Copper aged 10 section, taking silver in the all around NW competition and collecting the Cheshire and Merseyside silver on vault and bronze on bars.

Mollie Matthews took the North West silver on beam and bronze on floor, while Katherine Smithson produced a solid beam routine to secure the North West bronze.

Phoebe Mccluskey, Lucy Payton and Lois Ross Doyle were place 14th, 15th and 126th respectively.

Isla Wooldridge pocketed gold in the Cheshire and Merseyside vault competition and narrowly missed out on a North West vault place.

Charlotte Mines produced a solid performance to take gold on floor and secured the North West silver in the all around competition. Teammate Lola Clarke brought home silver on beam and was placed sixth overall.

In the aged 12 section the Warrington girls produced consistent routines.

Poppy Knowles placed fourth overall, having secured bronze on vault. Isla chiu took silver on beam and finished fifth overall.

Layla Porter-Alam narrowly missed out on medals on both bars and beam and was sixth in the overall standings.

Emily Cartledge placed seventh with a bronze on vault. Heidi Riley finished 12th in the North West all around.
