A CALLANDS resident has been left ‘appalled’ after a ‘lowlife’ woman stole a bowl of sweets left out for children on Halloween.
On Monday, October 31, Mr Shaw left a bowl of sweets on his doorstep on Cardigan Close for trick-or-treaters as his son was ill.
But just before 6.30pm, the bowl was stolen by a woman who was caught on Mr Shaw’s CCTV camera.
She can be seen leaving a car, heading towards the doorstep, and leaving with a bowl before getting back in the car.
“I am absolutely appalled at the behaviour of some people,” said Mr Shaw.
“Driving around looking for sweets from doorsteps to pinch that are meant to be for children who are looking to have an enjoyable night.
“What is the world coming to when grown adults do this?
“The front of some people is outrageous really, it blows the mind.”
