A LOCAL band is saying goodbye to a 'best friend, drummer, and brother' as one of the members takes a step back.

The K’s, a fourpiece band from Earlestown, announced to their social media followers of Jordan Holden, the band’s drummer, making the decision of leaving the band "at least for the time being."

Addressing the drummer’s departure, the statement read: "We are absolutely gutted to have to announce that, at least for the time being, Jordan has made the decision to take a step back from the band.

"We have had an amazing four years with him on the pots and pans and memories we will never forget.

"Thank you for your ongoing support as always."

The band also posted a tear-jerking message directly to Jordan which read: "Our dreamboat. We fully understand and support your decision and the reasoning behind it.

"We have had an absolute blast for the past four years and since the day you walked in that rehearsal room we never once looked back.

"One day maybe the stars will align, and you’ll be back where you belong.

"Until then, you will always be the best friend, drummer, and brother anyone could ever wish for.

"We love you brother."

The band are well loved in Warrington, playing last year at Neighbourhood Weekender and Parr Hall.

The band, who have done the rounds and supported big names such as Liam Gallagher and Brian Adams, have received a flood of support from fans following the news of Jordan leaving.

Some fans posted photos of their time meeting the lads, with one commenting: "Good luck in all you do Jordan, you’ve been a huge part of a superb band."

Another fan described Jordan as a "very talented drummer" and hopes he "picks up his sticks and finds his place again."

The K’s have not yet confirmed what the band’s plans will be moving forward.
