THESE two Warrington Wolves legends were reunited and sat together watching the Physical Disability Rugby League World Cup action at Victoria Park.

New Zealand Test forward Kevin Tamati played alongside hometown hero and Great Britain/Ireland winger Mark Forster in the Wire side between 1985 and 1989 and the sport brought them back together in Warrington on Friday.

Tamati, 69, has been back in the town for the first time in nine years as an advisor and mentor to the Kiwis PDRL team which reached Sunday's final against England at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.

His greatest moment alongside Forster in the primrose and blue colours came in the 1986 Premiership Cup Final success over Halifax at Elland Road in Leeds.

He formed a formidable pack partnership with Les Boyd and Bob Jackson, considered by many to be the best and hardest front row in the club's history.

Tamati became employed by Warrington Borough Council as the town's rugby league development officer, thrusting himself into the community game at schools and club level.

He then went on to coach Salford Red Devils, Chorley Borough and Whitehaven before returning to his home land in 2003.

Tamati was last in Warrington to take in the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.

Foz remains fourth in Warrington’s all-time try scoring chart after racking up 191 touch downs in 442 appearances.

He joined the club from amateurs Woolston Rovers in 1981 and completed 20 seasons before finishing his professional career with Widnes, the club that Tamati first joined before making the switch to Wilderspool.
