THERE are long delays on the M6 this afternoon, Saturday, after a crash between Middlewich/Holmes Chapel and Sandbach.
Two lanes are closed on the M6 southbound between junctions 18 and 17 due to a two-vehicle collision.
This was first reported to National Highways at 10.31am.
Emergency services are in attendance and recovery is now under way.
There are long delays of at least 60 minutes with eight miles of congestion back to junction 19 for Knutsford.
A spokesperson for Highways England said: “If this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time.
“Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey.”
