A range of services are available from the bus, including physical health checks and vaccination boosters.
Referrals and signposting to mental health services, and other appropriate services and organisations, are also available from the mobile unit.
Health checks available include:
- Blood pressure and pulse check
- Cholesterol check
- Blood glucose check
- BMI check
Due to the pressures that the NHS is anticipating through the winter, vaccine rollout from the bus is being prioritised over other health checks.
The Government is emphasising that the NHS will struggle with the annual winter outbreak of flu, combined with rising cases of Covid-19.
This is the first of two dates that the 'Living Well Bus' will be in Warrington, with the service revisiting the town in the second week of November.
Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust's 'Living Well Bus' is attending Orford Community Hub, on Hughes Avenue, on Friday, October 28.
The bus will be in operation in Orford between 10:30am and 4pm.
It will be back in Warrington on Wednesday, November 9, when it will be at Fearnhead Community Centre, on Insall Road.
More information can be found on Warrington Borough Council's website.
If you would like the bus to visit an alternative location or workplace, you can email Public Health Warrington: publichealth@warrington.gov.uk
