TWO leisure units within Time Square in Warrington town centre will be reopening.

It comes despite fixtures and fittings being ripped out of Gravity trampoline park in August, as well as Newton’s bar and restaurant next door.

The venues, which only opened in October 2020 and October 2021 respectively, are linked and share the same owner.

Photos taken of the Gravity unit within the flagship leisure complex showed the removal of trampolines and the ‘Ninja Run’ obstacle course fixtures.

The same can be said of Newton’s, with bar fittings, tables and booth seating also absent.

Both units remain empty and closed for the time being, however Gravity has confirmed to the Warrington Guardian that both sites will be reopening.

A spokesman said: “The businesses will be reopening, and the sites will reopen some time in the New Year.

“The Gravity site will also have a few new features and activities.

“We are working with the landlord, which is Warrington Borough Council, to get everything in place.”

Newton’s restaurant and bar offered an interactive and social venue, including darts and pool in a games area, serving cocktails alongside a New York themed menu.

Gravity meanwhile was a kid’s paradise, with 70 interconnected trampolines on the ground floor, as well as a giant inflatable obstacle course upstairs.

A statement issued following the August developments read: “Due to unforeseen circumstances outside of the main company’s control, the park will be temporarily closed while Gravity works hard to re-establish the capacity of its Warrington venue.

“Gravity is supporting all staff while the site is closed and is committed to its Warrington venue, and all the team there.

“Although disappointing to be closed during the summer holidays, when so many families are looking to entertain their children, Gravity has contacted those people affected to apologise for the inconvenience, and to resolve this and issue refunds.”
