JUST one nominee from Warrington will be represented at an awards ceremony that is set to be hosted in Warrington, next year.
The Marketing Cheshire Tourism Awards will be hosted at the Halliwell Jones stadium in March 2023.
More than 50 businesses and individuals have been shortlisted for awards across 16 different categories, but only one of the nominees is actually from Warrington - despite the town hosting the ceremony.

According to the event organisers, the awards are 'all about giving hotels, attractions, pubs and more a chance to show why they are a must-visit and recognise the excellence and outstanding achievement by local businesses and individuals working in Cheshire and Warrington’s visitor economy.'
Warrington's sole finalist is in the Team of the Year category, with the marketing and events team at the Pyramid and Parr Hall being nominated.
Categories of the awards presented at the final include Visitor Attraction of the Year, Pub of the Year, Large Hotel of the Year, and Unsung Hero.
Some winners will then go on to represent the county at the VisitEngland national Awards for Excellence 2023.
