A MAJOR international business has confirmed the look of its new premises in Warrington.

Parcel delivery giant UPS will become the latest massive name to open operations at Omega, joining the likes of Asda, Dominos, Amazon, and Royal Mail.

The US-based firm has signed a deal for the final M62-facing unit at the industrial site to the north of the motorway on former Burtonwood Airbase land.

UPS has signed up for a 10-year lease on the unit at a headline rent of £612,990 per year.

Work is now beginning to prepare the Lockheed Road warehouse.

Plans for the external sigange have now been approved by council planners.

There are two UPS logos on the side of the building as well as a standalone ‘totem-style’ direction sign.

Founded more than 100 years ago in 1907, the multinational shipping and supply chain management company has become one of the world’s largest shipping couriers.

It is the largest courier company in the world in terms of revenue.

Jon Thorne, head of the agency team at B8RE which helped to secure the deal, said: “This letting further demonstrates the strong demand for distribution and warehousing space in the region.”
