'GOTH Christmas.'
That's how one nightclub in Warrington has described its Halloween party this year.
FC2, on Barbauld Street in the town centre, will be hosting a Halloween party on Friday, October 28.
The party is one of the nightclub's 'Asylum' nights, which run once every month, and there is a prize up for grabs on the night.
Coordinated by WArrington Music (WAM), the 'Asylum' nights are aimed to make each night 'an event,' and this is no different.
The 'Asylum' nights used to be a town centre staple, before the plug was pulled on them in 2015 - but in summer 2021, the 'Asylum' nights made their long-awaited return, and to rave reviews, too.
The Halloween event has been called 'The Asylum Before Halloween' by WAM - Lee Harman, the editor of WAM, said: "To many of our community, Halloween is 'Goth Christmas,' a time to celebrate and go the extra effort with their outfits.
"That’s why the venue is putting up a £100 bar tab for the best dressed on the night."
Everything will be Halloween-themed, including a beer pong table that has been painted black for the occasion.
Lee added: "Some of the 'Asylum' nights have been the best-supported events, with both FC2 - and sister venue Friars Court - sold out for the My Chemical Romance after party in May, and around 150 through the doors each night, meaning it’s an event with a good mixture of regulars, friendly faces and people trying the night for the first time."
Furthermore, Lee says that FC2 is the only 'alternative' club venue in Warrington, adding: "We are dedicated to putting on a safe night, filled with all the alternative anthems you love and with the likes of Blink 182 and Paramore returning for new music and tours for the first time in years, it’s never been a better time to realise it’s not just a phase!"
'The Asylum Before Halloween' is set to take place on Friday, October 28, from 10:30pm onwards.
