Waterloo Road is set to return to our screens and the show has released a short teaser video with fans being given an insight into when they can expect the new series to start.
In a joint Instagram post, the official Waterloo Road and BBC iPlayer accounts shared a teaser video, writing: “A brand new logo for a brand new #WaterlooRoad. Coming to @BBC One and @BBCiPlayer in early 2023”
The video showed the new logo on a blurred background in front of children walking around.
When is the new series of Waterloo Road out?
Fans still have some time to wait for the new episodes as the teaser video revealed they’ll be able to tune in sometime in the new year.
Underneath the bold orange logo, it said: “Coming early 2023 to BBC One and iPlayer”
The new series, filmed in Greater Manchester, will see Penketh resident Kym Marsh join the cast as a mother of two pupils and school canteen worker.
EastEnders actress Jo Coffey has also joined the cast and she’ll play Wendy Whitwell, PA to headteacher Kim Campbell.
The show will also see Vincent Jerome, James Baxter and Coronation Street’s Sonia Ibrahim are also among the stars we can expect to see at the school.
Angela Griffin who plays Ms Campbell will reprise her role while Adam Thomas will return as Donte Charles and Katie Griffiths is retuning as Chlo Charles.
Last Tango In Halifax’s Rachel Leskovac has joined the lineup too along with Katherine Pearce.
