A DRINK driver was caught out earlier this morning, Sunday, after being seen driving a vehicle on its wheel rims.
The incident occured on the M62 westbound in Winwick.
An off-duty officer alerted patrols to the driver.
Traffic patrols attended the scene at approximately 8am this morning to find a driver in the seat of a grey BMW which was being driven on just its rims.
The driver was given a breathalyser test roadside.
A positive reading of 83 was provided, over two times the legal driving limit, and the driver was arrested at the scene.
